Meet Nicky Dayton
Nicky Dayton has been caring for the eyes of the Berowra community for the better part of the last two decades. Starting her career as an optometrist at David Hendry Optometrist, Berowra and Westleigh in 2004, she honed her optometric skills at a practice known to be well ahead of the curve in terms of advanced eye care, utilising equipment that was cutting edge and not common outside of eye specialist clinics at the time.

We offer the most thorough, and comprehensive eye examinations, utilising state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging equipment such as Zeiss Cirrus Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Optos wide-field retinal imaging, Humphries visual field analyser and much more. Your eye exam will be thorough and never rushed, and can include:

- Paediatric vision assessment

- Transport for NSW vision assessment for driver’s license
- Diabetic eye assessment
- Dry eye assessment
- Assessment and monitoring of all major eye diseases such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, cataracts and retinal conditions.

We recommend a comprehensive eye examination every one to two years, or sooner if you experience any changes to your vision or comfort.
Yes. Even if you don’t wear glasses, it’s important to have your eyes checked regularly. Advances in technology now allow us to detect eye conditions early and, in many cases, reduce the chance of future vision loss. It is also not uncommon for us to notice signs during your eye examination that indicate other potential health concerns that you may be unaware of.
We offer a beautifully curated range of premium and independent eyewear labels, chosen for their craftmanship, design excellence and comfort. Our aim is to bring you the eyewear you won’t find in every major shopping centre or optical chain store.
Due to the extra time spent during our eye examinations, and the utilisation of the very best in advanced imaging equipment, most eye examinations will incur a small out of pocket gap fee, and an imaging fee when required. Medicare claims will be processed for you at the time of your appointment.Children and Pensioners will be eligible for bulk billed consultations and reduced fees for imaging.
